AMRCON is a managed services provider, but what does that mean? And why should you care?
A managed services provider (MSP) is an IT services provider that assumes the responsibilities of managing and monitoring a business’s information technology needs. These needs typically include network monitoring, remote data backup, network security, and other state-of-the-art technology services like Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP).
Think of a managed services provider as an outsourced IT department whose sole responsibility is to make sure your IT systems continue to operate at their peek performance levels.
By monitoring your network 24 hours a day, seven days a week, an MSP can help your business avoid many information technology problems before they become an issue, and, if a problem does occur, an experienced MSP technician can troubleshoot and resolve your problem efficiently.
So when disaster strikes, like that hurricane that swept through Matawan last August, a managed services provider can help your business continue running with as little interruption as possible, potentially saving you from substantial productivity and revenue losses.
A MSP could save your business a lot of money.
For many businesses, outsourcing their IT support services is far more cost-effective than setting up and supporting in-house IT equipment.
Plus, for a managed services provider like AMRCON, information technology is our expertise. We have the time and resources to keep your business’s IT system up-to-date and functioning like a well-oiled machine.
In other words, by contracting a managed services provider to handle your IT needs, you’re giving yourself more time to think about running your business, with limited interruptions due to IT issues.
Think your business would benefit from contracting a managed services provider? Give AMRCON a call today. We would be happy to talk with you about our managed services and how we can make your business more efficient.

Have you ever wondered what you would do if your laptop was stolen? What if it contained sensitive information about your business or your personal life? Is it possible to track it down?
One of our clients found out the answers to those questions the hard way when a Howel teenager went on a burglary spree. In a three month period, the teen broke into cars throughout the township. Thankfully, he is now in jail, awaiting trial for a long list of crimes.
Click here to read the full article.
Our client, who will remain nameless, may have felt unlucky when his laptop was stolen from his car, but it was actually that move that landed the teen in the Monmouth County Jail in Freehold Township. Soon after pilfering the laptop, the foolish teen decided to use his newly acquired piece of technology.
What he didn’t know is that our client had his laptop on AMRCON’s ODS!
Our client called us, and we were able to track down the IP address in no time and lead Colts Neck police to the arrest.
So far, police have charged the teen with 19 counts of burglary, 14 counts of theft, two counts of credit card theft, three counts of possession and dealing in stolen property, possession of forged prescriptions, possession of burglary tools, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
That’s a long list! And it’s only expected to grow.
We’re glad we were able to lend police a hand in capturing this troubled teen and that we could help a client in need so quickly. That’s the true benefit of on-demand support—
We’re always here when you need us to lend a hand and get you back on track. Learn more about our ODS Managed Services.

Why do a few organizations achieve great heights and profits despite economic conditions…or the lack of corporate resources…or the tenure of their company?
It can be said in a word: LEADERSHIP.

AMRCON’s AMRCAR gains the attention of the State of New Jersey.
Last month, we unveiled the newest addition to our on-site technician fleet, the AMRCAR, a 2012 Fiat 500.
Now it seems the State of New Jersey has taken notice.
Here’s a lovely over the shoulder shot of the AMRCAR taken on the Garden State Parkway. While we appreciate the publicity, we have to admit that black-and-white does not do her justice. Check her out in full color.

It will be hard to claim that’s not our car. We’ll just have to be a little more careful in the future.
Sorry, State of New Jersey. We won’t let it happen again.

We tell all of our clients that we are committed to providing on-demand IT support no matter what. So when Hurricane Irene hit New Jersey in late August, we were given the opportunity to live up to our word.
Just a few days after the hurricane swept through Matawan, Eileen Fee of Marlboro Physical Therapy walked into our office needing help with her personal computer that had crashed that day.
Even though we were working off generators and scrambling to keep our business running, we could not let a client walk out of our office without a solution. We took care of Eileen’s relatively minor issue as well as all of our other clients’ issues because on-demand IT support is our promise, and we keep our promises.
Eileen was kind enough to write a referral regarding our on-demand IT support services that we would like to share with you today:
Dear Dee,
My personal computer crashed a few days after Hurricane Irene happened. I went into your office to see if it could be fixed, and here your office was affected by the Hurricane. All power was out in your office and your business was working off generators. I could see your workers were extremely busy handling many crises of other businesses to whom you provide IT support to.
First of all, I was very impressed that you back up what you say about AMRCON being counted on to provide on demand service to your customers. Secondly, my situation with my computer was very minor compared to what AMRCON was facing in the situation of the aftermath of no power for several days due to Hurricane Irene. And yet, AMRCON still provided excellent service.
I am pleased to say I was treated with top notch service. Everyone was very friendly and extremely helpful. I received immediate attention from Robyn your front office person and Danny your computer tech. Danny was in touch with me by phone and by email to resolve my situation to my satisfaction.
Not even a Hurricane can stop your excellence in providing IT support and customer service. I look forward to working with you in the future with your incredible ODS program. I would highly recommend AMRCON’S services to everyone I know.
Thank you,
Eileen Fee, P.T.
Thank you, Eileen, for your kind words, and thank you to all of our clients—big and small. Without you, our business could not exist.
We look forward to continuing to stand by our promises, providing on-demand IT support services to all of our clients even in the wake of disaster.
If you think your business could benefit from our on-demand technology services, contact AMRCON to learn more.

I meant to write my 3rd quarter personal note a few weeks ago when I wouldn’t have been thinking so much about winter. Instead, I’ll have to recalibrate my thoughts and recall what July, August, and September were really like.
Warm thoughts, warm thoughts, warm thoughts…
For the Rudko’s, the summer months were a complete blur. Thanks to my wife—the trooper she is—we managed to get upstate for a small getaway and a few weekend trips.
After all, we had to maintain our sanity as we prepared for the birth of our daughter, Domenica Anna.
Our little Domenica, the princes of the family, was born in August. I’m not sure how some of the other fathers out there might feel, but having a daughter has made me a little nervous.
Raising boys was easy. I knew what to do almost instinctively. I knew which toys they would like, where they would want to go on trips, and how to interact with them when we spent time together.
Unfortunately, I don’t think my daughter would have as much fun cutting the hair off a My Little Pony or getting into gunfights with a Cabbage Patch Doll as I did when I was a kid.
So far she’s been terrific, and I love spending time with her. I probably have some time before I really need to get on my A-game with this, but you know me—I’m always thinking a few steps ahead.
If you have any advice for me, please share it in the comment section!
As for business side of life, I think I can sum up the year already in that the effects of the economy are still punching through new bottoms, just when we thought it couldn’t get any worse.
Some areas in technology have remained stable or are even climbing, but then we see some familiar struggles happen to even a giant like HP. I think it’s fair to say we all worked harder to earn less. It’s times like these we need to reinvent, change our comforts, and be mindful of the “what ifs.”
At AMRCON, we’ve increased our capacities and have begun our policy and protocol rewrites earlier than normal just to make sure we’re staying ahead of the curve. Also, project work took a surprising increase this year compared to the year prior when most businesses were in a purse lock down.
Now is the time to take advantage of technology projects. The large hardware providers are cutting some nice deals and financing is available. IT companies that offer professional services, like AMRCON, can schedule out in advance. This helps us allocate labor and keep overhead costs low, which translates into savings for our clients.
Be sure to share your comments. I hope everyone has a great 4th quarter and close to the year. The next time we talk will be 2012.
Sincerely,
Dee Rudko, CEO
